Advanced driving teaches drivers greater control of their vehicle, helping them to improve a range of motoring skills, including road positioning and vehicle handling. The aim is to develop drivers who are more considerate when out on the road, more confident and competent behind the wheel, and generally more observant.
About our group
The Glasgow South IAM RoadSmart group aims to promote road safety by offering driving and riding courses both in a classroom setting and on the road. This training is provided to help members pass IAM RoadSmart’s advanced car and motorcycle tests. We also run a busy programme of talks, visits and social events.
Group meetings are normally held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, but please check our Events page or look our for communication from our secretary for the latest information before travelling. Meetings usually begin at 7.30 p.m. and take place in Thorntree Hall, Thornliebank. We look forward to welcoming you to a meeting soon.
